ABOUT THE CARIBBEAN IMMIGRANT SERVICES
Caribbean Immigrant Services,
Inc., was founded by Irwine G.
Clare, Sr. and Winston D. Tucker,
Esq. in 1995 to bridge the gap
created by the void in government
services to the immigrant community
in general and the Caribbean in
particular. In a world where
government downsizing and or
reengineering and technological
advancements are placing emphasis on
private enterprise and
self-reliance, the Caribbean
Immigrant Services,
Inc. is taking the lead to become
the catalyst for the Caribbean
community through full participation
in the democratic process.
The philosophy at
Caribbean Immigrant Services,
Inc. is that the strength of family,
businesses, communities and nation are
interrelated and closely correlated to
their level of participation in the
democratic process. As such, CIS
endeavors to bring services to the
community that will impact their level
of participation in government, improve
economic circumstances, leading to
economic and political empowerment.
CIS executives further recognize that
their charge and responsibilities are to
the broader Caribbean community and must
address the concept of a borderless
community.
Caribbean Immigrant Services, Inc.,
brings its “one stop empowerment
center” concept to the people they
serve by taking their services into
the community at home and abroad,
through a network of churches,
community -service organizations,
clubs and media. Caribbean
Immigrant Services, Inc., is an
example of community empowerment
through collective action.
Messrs Clare & Tucker avails themselves
to speak at various civic organizations
& churches. This is an instrumental
part of the out-reach services provided
by CIS. No group is too small or too
large, our sensitivity and understanding
of the community and the issues of
consequence endeavors the two directors
to be professional and sensitive in
their delivery. |
